AMBA RIVER - Ideal for Couples and family

Just 4 kms from our resort is River Amba. The place is ideal to spend time with your loved ones besides the river amidst nature
PALI GANESH MANDIR.

Just 11 kms from our resort is the famous Pali Ganesh Temple.The original temple was made of wood, which was renovated in 1760 and made of stone. There are two ponds near the temple.The temple faces East and is shaped like the letter Shree in the Devnagiri script.The temple has two sanctums in the outer sanctum Mooshak the mouse faces the deity holding a modak in his paws.In the inner sanctum is the idol of Ballaleshwar. It is 3feet high and it faces east and its trunk turns towards the left. The navel and eyes of the idol are studded with precious stones. Lord Ganesh in this aspect appeared as a Brahmin and so this is one of those rare statues where Ganesh is shown wearing clothes as Brahmins do. On both sides of the idol are statues of Riddhi and Siddhi.The Dhundi Vinayak Temple is situated behind the main temple. The idol in this temple is believed to be swayambhu. The idol of Dhundivinayak faces west. Devotees first visit this temple before going to the main temple.
UDDHAR HOT SULPHUR WATER SPRINGS :
Just 1 km before Pali Ganesh Mandir is a hot water spring at village Uddhar.The spring is quite famous for its medicinal SULPHUR content .
SUDHAGAD AND SARASGAD :
Situated near Pali Ganesh Mandir,These forts are of great historic significance and places of interest amongst trekkers and rock climbers
MURUD-JANJIRA FORT :

It is situated 90 kms from our resort.Formerly the capital town of the
Siddis of Janjira, Murud is today popular for its alluring beach, whispering
casurina, coconut and betel palms and an ancient fort. On a hillock to
the north is the shrine of Lord Dattatreya, the three heads representing
Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara. Battered on all four sides by sea waves,
its strong walls yet standing intact and 40 feet high even at full tide
is the majestic island fortress of the Siddis -- Murud-Janjira. Never
conquered by an enemy for over 350 years since its construction by the
Ahmednagar rulers under the supervision of their regent Malik Ambar in
the 15th century, Murud-Janjira is probably the only impregnable fort
on the 720 km Maharashtra coastline. Neither the Portuguese nor the British
could subjugate the fort. And the Marathas, despite their repeated attempts
failed to subjugate the Siddi power. The palace of the Nawab and the Janjira
Caves are also a must for the tourist. And just a few kilometres away
are two undiscovered beaches: Nandgaon and Kashid. Nandgaon is
famous for its Ganapati temple and the annual fair held in honour of ths
elephant-headed god every February.
BHIRA DAM :
The dam is 45 kms from our resort In Maharashtra, the construction of hydro-electric projects is entrusted to irrigation department.

USARVARDHANE WATERFALLS :
A magnificient waterfalls near the kansai village awaits you
.Water falls from a height of 300 ft amidst dense forest.
The way to the waterfalls is adventurous with jungle trails.
5 Kms by vehicle and a 45 mins trek thereafter.Vehicle can be parked at the village.

RAIGAD ROPEWAY :
Raigad is situated 70 kms from the resort.It includes a visit to the Museum located at Lower Station of Fort Raigad. The Museum has been created with the help of renowned historians like Shri. Babasaheb Purandare, Shri. Ninadji Bedekar and others. It displays photographs of various forts in Shivaji's empire, artifacts, farmans and weapons used in those historic times. The visit to the Museum is followed by a Film Show on Fort Raigad. The educative film is tastefully created by a team of historians and provides a preview of various aspects of the monument that the tourist is about to see. This value addition makes the trip very memorable and meaningful. A conducted tour of the Fort gives in-depth information to the tourists, besides answering their queries.

to take home a memento. Photographs, replicas of historic coins used in
the times of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and such curios are available

ALIBAUG BEACHES.
KIHIM AND MANDWA
:
These two beaches are located 12 miles north of Alibag on the north coast
and are easily accessible from our resort. Mandwa is a beautiful, untrodden
beach. On a clear day one can enjoy a long, breathtaking view across the
bay,even up to the Gateway of India. Mandwa village too, has a charm of
its own -- with its beautiful groves of coconut palms. You can plan an
unusual tent holiday nearby at Kihim. Unspoilt and isolated, this beautiful
place has a soothing effect on all city dwellers. For the nature lover,
Kihim has a lot to offer: woods brimming with wild flowers and rare butterflies
and birds. Worth visiting is the Kolaba Fort, just a furlong away from
the shore. 15 kms from Alibag is Chaul, an historic place with Portuguese
ruins, Buddhist Caves, the Hamam Khana, a church, a temple and even a
synagogue.
BIRLA TEMPLE :
This temple is 50 Kms from our resort at a small village named ' Salav ' on the Alibag - Roha route. There is a temple on a hill top near Salav village. Vikram Ispat company, a part of Birla udyog group has built this temple called ' Birla Mandir '. This temple is between the Vikram Ispat company and its beautifully located residential colony. It is a temple built in pure milk white marble and its dome can be seen from a long distance also. It can be reached by road or by climbing the steps. While climbing the temple steps one is always mesmerized by the landscape. On both sides of the steps is green velvet carpet of grass and beautiful flowers which will keep you spell bound for a minute.
The temple is built in pure marble and the hall of the temple is open from all sides. The ceiling of the temple is transparent which allows free flow of air and ample light . On entering the temple there is a square shaped nave made of marble with beautiful carvings.. The beautifully carved idol of 'Ganapati' is placed on the nave. The idols of 'Riddhi and Siddhi' are placed on both sides of idol. Around the nave are small temples of 'Radha-Krishna', 'Shiv-Parvati', 'Bhavanidevi' and 'Suryadeva'. In the the garden next to the temple there is a statue of "Late Aditya Birla".
Around the statue is a beautiful gardened landscape along with colored water fountains. The pleasant climate adds to the beauty of the temple. From the temple hill top the glimpse of the green hill tops surrounding the temple and the lighted Vikram Ispat company on the other side which is a beautiful sight late in the evening.
