The dam is 45 kms from our resort popularly known as TATA POWERHOUSE.In Maharashtra, the construction of hydro-electric projects is entrusted to irrigation department.The Civil, Mechanical and Electrical wings of the Irrigation department execute the work of Hydro Electricity power stations in close coordination. Excepting few large, all Hydro power stations constructed in the State are Dam-foot power houses. The energy generated is transmitted to the grid of Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB ).
